Sockballs

Project Brief

The average person will do 2,087 loads of laundry in their lifetime. They will also own about 1,495 socks in their lifetime. If a sock is lost every third time you do a load of laundry, the average person will lose about 695 pairs of socks in their life.

The Sockball idea was created to help reduce the number of socks that a person will lose in the wash. Simply load your socks in the Sockball, then throw it in the washer, then the dryer! This product is designed for the busy mom and the college-aged kid that can’t afford to lose a sock in the busy laundry room.

The Logo

The logo changes to different patterns…just like your favorite pairs of socks!

The Kickstarter Campaign

To fund the creation of the Sockball, there will be a Kickstarter Campaign. Kickstarter projects are only funded if the project hits the minimum goal. To incentivize people to buy into the project, they will often offer many tiers of prizes. Some of the prizes in the Kickstarter campaign will be stickers, clothespins, laundry detergent caps, laundry bags, and patterned socks!

The Packaging

The Sockball packaging was inspired by the design of a washing machine and dryer. There is a hole in the front of the box so that you can see the Sockball inside of the package.
